Extreme How-To

The EHT staff recently installed Bravo Screens' Automatic Retractable Screen at a co-worker's condo. We started after lunch and completed the installation by the time it just a couple of hours.  The patented Viscous Clutch System does not slam open for any window, door, french door, skylight, porch, veranda or any other applications you can think of. We installed the kit on a sliding patio door. With the Bravo system, you actually cut the screen and its retractable cassette all at once, measured to fit the door dimensions. Then simply fasten the framing rails in place, locking the channels into the cassette to from tracks for the screen to ride on. It's a simple installation recommended for DIY'ers, and when the screen is not in use, simply unsnap the magnetic latch and the screen retracts into the cassette, neatly out of the way.
